Warm Berry Crumble

Our family-sized berry crumble to serve for your friends or family. Hit half of your recommended daily serves of fruit from this delicious, warming dessert. The sweetness of this recipe will leave you feeling satisfied with a hit of berries, full of antioxidants that may protect you from developing chronic diseases like heart disease. 

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup plain flour
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 100g butter, cubed
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 500g frozen mixed berries
  • Yoghurt to serve

Method

  1. Heat oven to 200C. Put the flour, oats, butter and sugar in a bowl and squash together with your fingers into a crumble texture.
  2. Sprinkle over a baking tray and bake for 10 mins, stirring and roughly breaking up halfway through cooking.
  3. Spoon the fruit over the base of an ovenproof dish. Sprinkle the crumble mix over the fruit and bake for 15 mins.
  4. Rest for 5 mins before serving with yoghurt.
