What is Live Younger Longer all about?

This program empowers people aged 65 and over to maintain their independence, enhance their health and wellbeing, avoid residential aged care, avoid falls and enjoy a fulfilling life.
It explores 5 key areas that influence ageing and provides participants with the knowledge, skills, and practical strategies to address each one in a positive and proactive way. The results are amazing!

The facts about ageing

Age really is just a number, especially when you consider that nearly 45% of the issues a person faces as they grow older can be positively influenced given the right skills and know how. This program explores the 5 key areas of cognitive health, emotional/mental health, physical health, nutritional health and social health and provides participants with strategies and practices to understand, manage and flourish in all. It’s very social, it’s fun and it gets amazing results!

Teaching new skills

The first part of the program is called the learning phase. It’s like going back to the classroom, but it’s much more fun. Over 7 weeks we introduce our team of clinical specialists to the class. They discuss the issues faced in each of the 5 key areas and then share strategies and skills to positively address them. You can ask them anything you like, and they will give you their advice, knowledge and support. You’ll meet lots of new friends.

Putting it all into practice

The second part is all about taking the learnings and putting them into practice. This is the activity phase and it’s where everyone starts to see real change. We run free activity programs to build physical health, emotional health, cognitive health and social health. On a weekly basis we share dietary tips and tricks to boost mood and metabolism and great budget focused recipes.
