Sweet + Savoury Toast Toppings

Toast is the EASIEST breakfast option, however you can definitely become tired of having the same meal every morning. See our variety of toast toppings that all include a protein source to keep you fuller for longer and provide nutrients to get your day started full of energy. The darker and grainer the bread, the better! For a gluten-free option, ensure the bread is gluten-free.
INGREDIENTS
Avocado + Halloumi
- ¼ avocado
- 2-3 slices halloumi
- 1 tbsp chilli flakes
- Salt + pepper
Bruschetta
- ¼ punnet of cherry tomatoes (quartered)
- ¼ red onion (diced)
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- Salt + pepper
Peanut Butter, Banana + Honey
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- ½ banana (sliced)
- 1 tbsp honey
METHOD
Avocado + Halloumi
- Smash the avocado.
- Over high heat, drizzle olive oil. Fry halloumi for 1 minutes on each side until your liking (usually with crispiness).
- Serve avocado and halloumi on toasted bread. Top with salt and pepper and chilli flakes.
Bruschetta
- Mix all ingredients and set aside.
- Serve on toasted bread and drizzle balsamic vinegar.
Peanut Butter, Banana + Honey
- Serve peanut butter on toasted bread.
- Add sliced banana and drizzle with honey.
