Sutherland Shire Council

The Sutherland Shire is a local area government located on the southern coastal border of Sydney, 26 km from the city centre. It is home to over 225,000 people and contains a diverse natural landscape with beaches, national parks, town centres and bushland.

The people of the Sutherland area pride themselves on the Shire’s close knit community feel. Creating an area with an intense sense of belonging is no easy feat and can be partly attributed to the council’s well planned community engagement strategy. A strategy Live Life Get Active is proud to be a part of.

Sutherland Shire Council partnered with Live Life Get Active in February 2014 and currently sponsors 0 locations. Without the generous support of Sutherland Shire Council, the provision of free outdoor fitness camps at these locations would not be possible. It’s really important, not only for physical health but for people’s mental and social health. Thank you for funding. It’s worth it.
