If you’re staying sober these holidays, you shouldn’t have to miss out on enjoying a refreshing beverage. Here’s a list of delicious, alcohol-free bevvies to enjoy during your summer celebrations!

1. Tropical Christmas Cooler

Ingredients

  • 500 ml pineapple juice
  • 300 ml mango nectar
  • 200 ml lime juice
  • 400 ml chilled sparkling water
  • 2 tbsp passionfruit pulp (or syrup)
  • Pineapple wedges and mint for garnish

Method

  1. Stir pineapple juice, mango nectar, lime juice, and passionfruit in a pitcher; chill.
  2. Just before serving, add sparkling water and ice. Garnish with pineapple and mint.

2. Citrus & Cucumber Spritz

Ingredients

  • 600 ml chilled grapefruit juice (pink or white)
  • 200 ml orange juice
  • 100 ml lemon juice
  • 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp honey or agave syrup
  • 300 ml soda water
  • Cucumber ribbons and grapefruit slices

Method

  1. Muddle half the cucumber slices with honey in a pitcher.
  2. Add juices and remaining cucumber; chill 30–60 minutes.
  3. Top with soda water and serve over ice with ribbons and grapefruit.

3. Watermelon, Basil & Lime Smash

Ingredients

  • 800 g seedless watermelon, blended and strained (~700 ml juice)
  • 60 ml lime juice
  • 2 tbsp simple syrup (adjust)
  • Small handful fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 200 ml chilled sparkling water
  • Watermelon cubes and basil sprigs

Method

  1. Combine watermelon juice, lime, simple syrup, and basil in a pitcher; chill 30 minutes.
  2. Add sparkling water and ice before serving; garnish with cubes and basil.

4. Kiwi-Pear Fizz

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe kiwis, peeled and blended (~200 ml)
  • 400 ml pear juice or nectar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp elderflower cordial
  • 300 ml chilled club soda
  • Kiwi slices and pear slices

Method

  1. Whisk blended kiwi with pear juice, lemon, and elderflower cordial; chill.
  2. Add club soda and ice at serving; garnish.

5. Spiced Plum & Cherry Refresher

Ingredients

  • 400 g ripe plums, pitted and blended
  • 300 ml cherry juice
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick (lightly cracked)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 300 ml ginger ale (chilled)
  • Plum wedges and cherries Method
  1. Gently warm plums, cherry juice, cinnamon, and maple syrup for 5 minutes to extract spice; cool completely and strain.
  2. Chill; add ginger ale and ice before serving. Garnish with fruit.

6. Sparkling Berry & Rosemary Punch

Ingredients

  • 300 g mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries), muddled
  • 400 ml cranberry juice
  • 100 ml pomegranate juice
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp rosemary simple syrup (or muddle rosemary with sugar)
  • 500 ml sparkling water
  • Fresh rosemary and berry skewers

Method

  1. Muddle berries with lemon juice and rosemary syrup; stir in juices and chill.
  2. Top with sparkling water and ice at serving; garnish.

7. Tropical Lime & Coconut Cooler

Ingredients

  • 600 ml coconut water
  • 300 ml guava juice (or lychee juice)
  • 80 ml fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp coconut palm sugar syrup (or simple syrup)
  • Toasted desiccated coconut and lime wheels

Method

  1. Mix coconut water, guava, lime, and syrup; chill.
  2. Serve over ice with a sprinkle of toasted coconut and lime wheel.

Serving & Prep Notes

  • Make fruit bases or syrups 24–48 hours ahead; keep chilled. Add carbonation and fresh herbs at the last minute.
  • For large crowds: scale recipes and keep sparkling components separate until serving to preserve fizz.
