Georges River Council

Georges River Council is a local government area in the St George region of Sydney, south of the CBD. The merger of Kogarah City Council and Hurstville City Council formed this Council on 12 May 2016, and it covers an area of approximately 38 square kilometres. The area offers an abundance of natural assets which the Council are dedicated to protecting while developing a thriving culture for the community.

Georges River Council work closely with the community to make it a connected, inclusive, cohesive and vibrant community. It does this through producing a calendar of free programs and events for different groups of the community such as the Festival of Harmony, National Youth Week, Seniors programs and many more. It’s this focus on community that makes the organisation a perfect fit with Live Life Get Active.

Georges River Council partnered with Live Life Get Active in September 2018 and currently sponsors 0 locations. Without the generous support of Georges River Council, the provision of free outdoor fitness camps at these locations would not be possible.
