Feeling nervous about taking your first fitness class?
We know it can be hard taking your first fitness class so we wanted to share this member’s story about her first steps to a fitter, healthier and happier life. We hope it inspires you to give it a go.
My name is Jessica. I am currently attending the Live Life Get Active classes in Brooks Reach Horsley.
I started taking these classes in late February. As a busy mum of four small children I had not exercised in years and was very nervous about attending my first class. I finally bit the bullet and booked the first class in.I was welcomed to my first class by the trainer who came straight up and introduced herself. I explained I was nervous and hadn’t exercised in years. She was so supportive and encouraging that I started to relax a little. I made it through my first class and really enjoyed it – even thought my body wasn’t liking it too much 🙂I then made a goal to make it to 3 LLGA classes a week. After a few weeks I got into a routine of dropping kids to school then going straight to train. I am still doing this and absolutely loving it. I have found its not only the exercise and fitness I am loving, it’s the friends I have made and the support I have through this group. It’s amazing. Such a fun friendly environment and I have recommended it to so many others.
The trainers are amazing. I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I have without their encouragement and support. They are so friendly and approachable. I have spoken to them about nutrition, goals, struggles and they have always gone above and beyond to give me the information, support and encouragement. I couldn’t thank them enough for all they do for me each week.Without the LLGA program I wouldn’t be where I am today and I am so grateful that this program is out there for people like myself to get out and have a go, get active and get healthy. I have lost weight and toned up a lot and learnt so many things I didn’t know. Not only physically but mentally. Live Life Get Active classes got me out of the house, socialising and making friends. It’s 100% changed my life in such a positive way.
